My list additions this week have to do with Halloween and fall! Candy with no HFCS and fall-time favorites. The first item I came across is an old favorite – Dum-Dums by Spangler Candy! I always remember getting these as a kid when my Mom would go to the bank, and the tellers had cup-fuls of them for kids. They’re a good bargain, too. Sometimes items with no HFCS are a bit pricier, but this isn’t one of them. As a bonus, they are gluten-free also, according to the Spangler Web Site!
The next items I found are Smarties, Annie’s Gummy Snacks, and Trader Joe’s Organic Pops. Between these new items and the other candy I have listed on the list of products with no high-fructose corn syrup, that gives a lot of no hfcs options this year! You could even get a variety and make little decorative Halloween baggies to give out.
Now for the special request – I’ve never done this before, and I don’t hope no one minds. I’ve been providing and updating this list since 2007 and never made a profit. And unfortunately my business has dropped off a lot in the last few months.
I’m a single Mom of a developmentally disabled child (autism with developmental delay), and I rely on my freelancing to keep a roof over our heads, since special-needs child care costs more per hour than I could make at a “real” job.
As of this month, the drop in work has caught up with us, and we are facing eviction. I set up a GoFundMe page to get us over this hump. Please help and share the page if you can – everything and anything helps! Please Tweet, post, give, or just “like” the page. It helps a lot! We need help ASAP. Fortunately we are already about 1/3 of the way to our fundraising goal, but the campaign has stalled. Here is the direct link: https://www.gofundme.com/q86e8ums
Thanks for understanding and have a wonderful Halloween!
