This AP article reports that FDA labeling director Barbara Schneeman has expressed (in writing) concern over two of the corn industry’s websites using “corn sugar” and “high fructose corn syrup” interchangably. What about Pepsi Throwback and Mtn Dew Throwback? These were originally promotional flavors that seem to have been brought back on a more permanent basis. They use sugar as opposed to HFCS. Same concept as the retro 7up– once upon a time these soft drinks were made with sugar rather than HFCS.
I’ll have to try that 7Up!
